Haber Technologies was born from an idea in the classroom at Iowa State University.
In an agricultural engineering class taught by Dr. Kurt Rosentstrater, future co-Founders Eric Harweger (Biological Systems Engineering 2016) & Dillon Hurd (Biological Systems Engineering 2016, Masters Chemical Engineering 2018, Current Ph.D. Chemical Engineering) started working on a novel grain aeration & management solution.
In 2018, just two years later - Haber Technologies & the DRI-Stack® system were born. Eric & Dillon set out to build a solution that has potential to have a positive impact on harvested grain around the world. The first system prototypes were installed in 2019 on three farms. In 2020, they built custom circuit boards, an IoT platform & a proprietary modeling & control software as they installed a handful of test systems on more farms.
In 2021, the company started selling systems across the midwest & today Haber Technology's grain drying & automation technology is helping farmers across 10 states. Everything from corn & beans in the midwest to walnuts, wheat & seed corn across the country.
In 2024, Haber Technologies was acquired by Shivvers Manufacturing to form Shivvers Technology & Innovation Group (STIG). Headquartered in Ames, Iowa - STIG's team is quickly growing as the company works to help more farmers dry, store & manage their grain.
